After the death of his mother William Franklin Cramton was taken by Mrs.
Martha Starbuck and her bachelor son, John Starbuck, but was not adopted.
After his marriage he farmed and was in the livestock business for many
years. He went to Morris County, Kansas in 1900, and farmed near Wilsey,
Kansas. For a long time before his death he had been in ill health and
early in 1947 was taken to State Hospital in Topeka, where he died July 7,
1947.
